Frequently Asked Questions

How is WHW different?

WHW eliminates the need for transportation; saving you time, money, and the frustration of poor transportation options. WHW has the flexibility to join you in your community spaces to assist with activities you want to perform outside your home. For example, if you want to walk to the farmers market, we’ll practice the exact route with you, on the exact day, at the exact time.

What does concierge mean to WHW?

“Once a patient, always a patient.” We offer this promise to you. You can reach out regarding non-emergent questions, such as home exercise programs or after an uncomplicated fall. We promise a clinician who is knowledgeable regarding your care will respond within 48hours via phone or telehealth.

How is this paid for?

For our medicare clients, WHW will bill Medicare directly. For our non-medicare clients, WHW will provide you with a Super Bill/Invoice that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

But isn’t a clinic or gym better?

Not necessarily. The attempt to simulate real life activities in an outpatient clinic are rarely successful. From research, we understand that specificity in practice helps with neuroplastic changes and learning. In other words, learning a skill at home will improve your ability to implement that skill in your home. Therefore, by training in your own home and community, we are increasing the potential for your brain to learn, which improves your ability to reach your goals. WHW therapists have the experience and skills to challenge your strength, balance, endurance and coordination without the use of equipment in the clinic. We also have the ability to practice your goals in real life. This is something that can’t be duplicated in a clinic.

How is this different from home care?

Traditional home care requires an individual to be home bound, unable to leave the home for any services, thus requiring medical services to come to them. We come to you for your convenience, your schedule and your goals. Home care is paid for under Medicare part A. WHW practices Mobile PT which is covered under Medicare part B.

Which service option is best for me?

Feel free to reach out to us and we’ll happily talk with you to decide the best option for you!

What if I need to cancel?

For any 1:1 sessions, a cancellation within 24 hours will require 60% payment with exceptions for medical status changes. If a therapist arrives to the treatment location, 100% of payment will be required with exceptions for medical emergencies. Please contact us with any concerns!

What about COVID-19?

All WHW therapists are fully vaccinated based on current CDC recommendations. Masks are not mandatory, however you will have a conversation with your team to decide the best approach for you.

Is there a refund?

A documented change in medical status that inhibits your ability to participate in your pre-purchased track allows for full refund on unused sessions or the value of the unused session to be transferred to another service. Cases will be reviewed individually to allow for the best resolution for the client.
